Sizing & Fit

Obras de Arte sizing and fit is unique to our brand. As our shoes are handmade, slight fit variations are expected. Obras are designed to have a snug fit initially as they are made entirely of natural leather. Over time, they will stretch and conform to the shape of your feet with regular wear. This unique attribute means our loafers can accommodate most foot shapes and sizes and is one of the reasons they are so incredibly comfortable.

Obras loafers are a standard width. If you have slim feet we would recommend going down a half size. Obras loafers are not suitable for extra slim feet.

We have provided an Obras conversion chart below along with a guide to measuring your feet. If you are in between sizes we recommend choosing the lower size as they will stretch.

Toes: Initially your toes should touch the end of the Obras loafers with some pressure, without curling or being painful. This pressure will ease with the stretching process

Heel: It is normal if there is a minor slippage in the heel initially, the leather lining will gradually grip to your feet as you walk.

Please Note: Shaded rows in the above table highlight where there is a divergence in sizing standards between the EU, UK and US across the industry. The size and fit of our loafers have been assessed in accordance with SATRA, a leading technical authority for footwear and leather. The table reflects the most accurate conversion based on that assessment.
